Osteopathy
& Our Practitioners

Osteopathy is a distinctive approach to healthcare that focuses on the musculoskeletal system, treating the body as an interconnected unit capable of self-healing. By facilitating optimal bodily function through various techniques, osteopathy aims to restore natural balance and enhance overall health.

Its origins trace back to Andrew Taylor Still, a 19th-century American physician and Civil War surgeon based near Baldwin City, Kansas. He pioneered osteopathic medicine, emphasizing the body's innate ability to heal.

Osteopathy offers effective treatment for diverse conditions such as back and neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, headaches, migraines, asthma, pregnancy-related discomfort, and more.

Expect osteopathic treatment to gently realign your musculoskeletal structure, promoting freedom of movement and improving overall well-being. At Parnell Natural Health, we adopt a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring personalized treatments tailored to individual needs. All our osteopaths are registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and are ACC treatment providers.
